The PANHANDLE NUTRITION SERVIC (PNS) of
Woodward provides hot lunches for seniors that are age 60 and
above, for a recommended donation of $3.00. Meals are prepared
and served at the Woodward Senior Center, Monday through Friday
at 11:45 a.m. The office hours are Monday through Friday from
8:30 to 2:30. To reserve a meal, you may call the PNS office at
580-254-2389 by 8:30 a.m. on the day you plan to eat and leave a
message, or sign-up at the Woodward Senior Center the day
before. For those seniors who do not drive, bus transportation
is available by calling 580-254-8566. Home-delivered meals are
available to qualifying seniors that are home-bound. A
home-visit and assessment is required for home-delivered meals
and will be conducted by a PNS Outreach Worker. The Outreach
Worker can also assist seniors in finding social services to
best meet the clients' individual needs. So, if you or someone
you know is at least 60 years old, come and join other seniors
for lunch at the Woodward Senior Center. There are also a
variety of activities taking place at the Woodward Senior Cente,
r Monday-Saturday, for individuals that are at least 55 years
old. The Senior Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 4:30
and for special events. A monthly calendar of events and a
monthly menu are available at the Woodward Senior Center and
can help you plan your weekly schedule of activities. We hope
